Other Stuff

This is an area for new parts that don't fit under the other headings and:

  • used parts that are too good to recondition

  • duplicates of new and used spare parts bought for my car

  • new parts bought for development projects that have not been used

  • new parts that have been on my car for testing purposes

As such it will be updated regularly as parts come and go!

Metering Unit Spanners

These are laser cut from stainless steel and are used to adjust the fuelling of the metering unit. Only recommended if you have an understanding of how to adjust the different operating parameters of the metering unit and you have AFR and vacuum gauges to identify where the adjustments are required.

CR to CP Conversion Throttle Bodies

A set of used CR throttle bodies fitted with conversion spindles which enable them to be operated with CP throttle linkages. This was the old work around which was common before I started remaking CR spindles and fitting them with spindle bearings. They are dirty but there is no play in the spindles they have all hose connectors and idle air valve. The threads for one of the injector keep plates is stripped so I will put a Helicoil in there. Original spec CP reconditioned countershafts and new CP linkage rods available see appropriate page on the website. These were recently traded in by a customer for a set of my reconditioned original spec CR throttle bodies with new spindles and bearings.

Plenum Chambers

Original plenum chambers blasted and repainted with crinkle finish paint. Early versions with hose single breather pipe connection and later versions with breather and idle air connections.

Thermostat Covers with Electric Cooling Fan Switch

The early thermostat covers have an area in the casting that is perfect for drilling and tapping to accept a cooling fan switch. The early versions are not available new. I blast used covers to remove the oxidisation. Any deep pitting where the hose seals is filled with epoxy resin. They are then drilled, tapped and fitted with switches with an operating temperature of 95C on and 90C off. You can fit other M14 x 1.5 switches with different temperature settings to suit your requirements. The early thermostat covers also fit later cars
